Meet the TUTORING Director
I am a licensed Teacher and Graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi with 18 years of experience in education. My personal vision has always been to encourage and inspire students that I serve while empowering their guardians as well. I aim to provide a safe afterschool depot where parents can rest assured that their children are in good hands. Through our tutoring company, we aim to bridge gaps academically, socially and emotionally while building confidence along the way. I have experience in tutoring and teaching grades K-12th. I’m licensed in Special Services K-12th (High Qualified in all subjects). I have taught the Emotionally Disabled as an Alternative School teacher, and served as an After School Director for the 21st Century Grant for 3 years. I have a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership and Administration with a License in Administration. I recently became the Director of a local childcare facility as well, while earning a CDA credential. All and all, Childcare & Education are my passion. I take great pleasure in remaining abreast to the needs and necessary developments in our nation's educational system with the goal of offering a stellar program which offers a vast amount of knowledge and wisdom to improve the stability of our community one individual at a time. In addition to my educational experience, I also serve as a Children's Coordinator / Leader for Children's church. Lastly, I recently became a Site Coordinator through the USDA's F.U.E.L. program. In Lieu of Covid19, I have began serving the community to help parents with newly homeschooled students and virtual learners as a primary support. Lastly, our program was chosen by MSU as a satellite location for migrant students in need of tutoring. All and all, we continuously remaining abreast to the needs of our community and surrounding in order to offer a safe and engaging afterschool program where students can grow. -LeAnna Calhoun |
